The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team heads to Hiram, Ohio to take on the Terriers of Hiram College in the AMCC Match of the Week on Saturday night. The contest will be held in Price Gymnasium at 6 p.m. No spectators are allowed.  

The Behrend Lions have won two in a row, defeating Thiel on Wednesday night 3-0, marking the second over the Tomcats this season. The Lions are tied for first in the AMCC with Hiram, each with a 2-0 AMCC record. Senior outside hitter Colin Dedert helped Behrend defeat Thiel with a team-best 10 kills and six digs. Sophomore Adrian Martinez tallied a season-best 18 digs. Freshman Logan Hering is in the top five in four AMCC offensive categories. He is third in hitting percentage (.298), fourth in kills per set (3.41), fifth in kills (58) and fifth in service aces per set (0.47). As a team, the Lions rank second in kills (186), blocks per set (1.53) and rank third in the AMCC in digs per set with 10.82.

Fresh off a three-set win over Saint Vincent, Hiram heads into their weekend matchup against Penn St. Behrend sitting at 3-1 (2-0 AMCC) on the year. Last weekend, the Terriers defeated Medaille for their first AMCC victory of the year, rolling to a 3-1 victory after dropping a back-and-forth opening set, before racing past Saint Vincent in their home opener. Kilvio Montero and Grant Phelan led the way for the Terriers against Saint Vincent, each tallying a team-high eight kills, while Cole Fischer led Hiram defensively with nine digs. As a team, Hiram hit .443, while holding Saint Vincent to just a .070 hitting percentage. As a team, Hiram is hitting .259 percent, while holding opponents to a .143 hitting percentage. AMCC Preseason Player of the Year Tom Supan leads the Terriers with 47 kills (3.92/set), while Jake Lininger and Andrew Diaz each have tallied 71 assists. Defensively, Dangelo Boehner leads Hiram with 14.0 blocks, while Fischer’s notched a team-high 58 digs.
