Maurer helped lead a Penn State Behrend defense that posted two shutouts over the weekend, including a shutout victory over No. 24 John Carroll on Friday night. Maurer also stepped up and converted a game-winning penalty kick in the 65th minute to lead the Lions over Hiram College 1-0 Sunday.
