Penn St. Behrend defeated Medaille College 3-1 to claim their ninth conference championship.

Behrend senior captain Ryan Mauer got the Lions on the board first with a laser shot on a free kick to the top of the net that eluded outstretched Maverick goalkeeper Johnny Pitts in the 36th minute.  Medaille responded with less than a minute remaining in the first half as midfielder Joe Rodwell got one past Behrend keeper Chris Ralph on a scrambling play and the teams went into halftime no further ahead.

The Lions broke the tie at 75:59 on a score by Richard Blanchard, and they got an insurance goal less than three minutes later by Dakota Lange.

With the victory the Lions have earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.  Tournament pairings, seedings and schedule will be announced Monday.
