BEHREND'S BELACK, WASSELL HEAD MEN'S SOCCER POST-SEASON HONOR ROLL
Penn St. Behrend forward Jimmy Belack and goalkeeper Jarrod Wassell have been named the AMCC Offensive and Defensive Men's Soccer Players of the Year.
Penn St. Behrend senior forward Jimmy Belack
and senior goalkeeper Jarrod Wassell have been
named the AMCC Offensive and Defensive Men's Soccer Players of the
Year.
Belack led the league in scoring with 48 points on 17 goals and 14
assists, while Wassell was ranked #2 in the conference in goals
against average (.56), #4 in save percentage (.773) and tied for #1
in shutouts (9). They combined forces to help lead the Lions
to their second consecutive title and seventh overall.
Franciscan freshman forward Leo Herrmann was
selected as the Newcomer of the Year. Herrmann, the only
first year player named to the all-conference first team, was
ranked second in goals with 15 and fourth in points with 33.
D'Youville College's Brendan Murphy was voted
Coach of the Year, after turning around a team that failed to win a
conference game in 2013 to a berth in the AMCC tournament in
2014.
