AMCC MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP TEES OFF ON SUNDAY
AMCC men's golfers will tee off this Sunday, October 13 at the Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club in Warren, OH to determine the 2019 AMCC men's golf champion.
AMCC men's golfers will tee off this Sunday, October 13 at the Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club in Warren, OH to determine the 2019 AMCC men's golf champion. Pitt-Bradford, the defending AMCC champion, claimed their third men's golf title a year ago and will be looking for their fourth.
The Panthers are on the prowl for back-to-back conference titles, as their 310.63 scoring average ranks top in the conference. Pitt-Bradford also boasts junior Cary Ignaczak, who leads the conference with a 75.00 average on the season, which is over three strokes better than the next ranked player. Also ranking in the top ten for the Panthers are Matt Moonan (5th, 78.63), Sam Marchini (T7th, 79.38), and Cooper Cordova (10th, 79.75).
Entering the championship weekend with a 312.8 scoring average is Penn State Behrend, ranking them second in the conference. Freshman Ryan Meyer ranks second in the AMCC with a 78.1 average, while teammates Garrett Schlick (3rd, 78.40) and Alex Pol (4th, 78.56) are right behind him. Senior Mark Peters is also in the top 10, as his 79.7 average ranks ninth.
With a 318.63 average on the season, Penn State Altoona enters the tournament as the third ranked team overall. The Lions are led by sophomore Ethan Yohe, who is tied for fifth with a 78.63 average and junior Jimmy Gillespie who is tied for seventh with a 79.38.

Monday's action will commence at 9:00am, with pairings determined by the Day One results. The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 12-15 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
