PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche F Tyler Frederick averaged a double-double in two conference wins. He scored 19 points and pulled down 7 boards in a 66-51 win at Franciscan on Wednesday. He then had 18 points and 17 rebounds in an 81-75 AMCC Regular Season clinching victory over Medaille on Saturday.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert G Hunter Martineau set-up his teammates with good looks before putting his individual scoring first, as he guided Hilbert to a 3-0 week by averaging close to a triple double with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 10.3 assist per game, while currently ranking #1 in D3 in total assists and #3 in APG...PS-Altoona C Cameron Gardner-Nicholson continued to be a dominant presence in the paint last week, helping the Lions go 1-1, as he averaged 18.5 points per game while shooting 66.7% from the field and adding 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 1.0 steal per game...PS-Behrend F Justin Gorny shot 57.1 percent from the floor and averaged 20.0 points in a 2-0 week for the Lions, tying a career high with 28 points in the win over Pitt-Greensburg by going 12-for-18 from the field while also averaging 6.5 rebounds and draining four triples on the week...Medaille G Kirk Hawkins continued his strong play in 2019, leading the Mavericks offensively by scoring 16.5 points per game last week and going 9-11 from the charity stripe, , while his 22 points against La Roche were his second best total of the season, trailing only his 24 point performance earlier in the year against Brockport...D'Youville G Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden had another impressive week for the Spartans, helping the team clinch their first playoff appearance since 2014-15, as he began the week with a 10 point, 15 rebound performance in the 94-73 win over Pitt.-Bradford on Monday, he chipped in with eight points and six rebounds in a loss to Penn State-Behrend and then stepped up big-time with 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks in the 97-95 win over PS-Altoona...Mount Aloysius F Carlos Palacio averaged 18 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Mounties, as he shot 52% from the field, including 57% from beyond the arc, while also adding 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game...Franciscan C Matt Trent led the team with 12 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in two games for the Barons.
