FEIKLES, CAPIAK TAKE TOP HONORS ON BASEBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

The 2014 AMCC baseball all-conference team features a stellar starting line-up, including La Roche College second baseman Colin Feikles as Player of the Year and Mount Aloysius College senior Derrick Capiak as Pitcher of the Year.

Feikles had a standout junior campaign, recording a .431 batting average with 41 RBI, 49 hits and 40 runs scored.  He boasted a .921 fielding percentage, helping to turn 10 double plays.  Capiak had a 7-4 record in 12 appearances, striking out 84 for a 10.85 Ks/9 average to lead the Mounties to a #3 seed in the AMCC tournament.

Penn St. Altoona freshman Pat McHenry was named Newcomer of the Year.  A first team all-conference selection as the designated hitter, McHenry led the league with 46 RBI.  The Redhawks' skipper Chase Rowe got the nod as Coach of the Year, directing his 30-13 squad to the league championship and a #6 ranking in the region.
