WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT NCAA REGIONALS

The Penn State Behrend and Alfred State College women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, hosted by SUNY Geneseo.

Behrend finished in 16th place out of 20 teams, while Alfred State finished in 20th place. 

Penn State Behrend freshman, and AMCC Runner of the Year, Olivia Nola continued her dominant freshman campaign, finishing first for the Lions and 44th overall with a time of 24:51.9. Sophomore Jessie Johnson cracked the Top-100, crossing the finish line in 90th place at 26:44.5. 

Sarah Rivet and Laura Ferris led the Pioneers on the 6k course at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo. Rivet was 123rd (29:37.6) while Ferris was 124th (29:38.4). Katie Watkins was 131st (30:31.4), Summer Kier was 139th (32:57.7) and Mattison Buckley finished 141st (33:45.6).

Medaille College's Katherine Bobowicz ran as an individual and came in 113th place overall for the women and crossed the finish line in 28:14.

SUNY Geneseo won the event with five runners finishing in the Top-10. Windsor Ardner from Geneseo won the individual title with a time of 22:10.7.
