    Mannering had a big week for Pitt-Bradford, picking up two complete game victories over Penn State Behrend and Pitt-Greensburg. Mannering allowed just three earned runs over 14 innings pitched to post a 1.93 ERA while striking out 10 batters. In the win over the Lions, Mannering scattered six hits, allowed one earned run, and struck out five.

    Evans powered the Hawks to a 5-1 week in league play, propelling them to sole possession of second place in league standings. The junior centerfielder had three multi-hit games and finished the week with a .435 batting average and 1.000 slugging percentage. Evans tallied six extra base hits, including three home runs, while driving in nine runs and scoring eight more. His biggest hit coming in the bottom of the 7th of game one against top seeded Mount Aloysius when he belted a game-tying three-run home run to send the game to extras where the Hawks walked it off in the ninth. Evans now leads the AMCC in league play in triples (2), home runs (4), extra base hits (9), slugging percentage (.854) and OPS (1.345) over 12 games played.

    The Hilbert College Hawks will travel to Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday to take on the La Roche College Redhawks in the AMCC Baseball Games of the Week.

    Bailey pitched a complete 7.0 inning shutout in game one of Sunday's double header against Pitt-Greensburg. Baliey tallied eight strikeouts while holding the Bobcats to two hits.

    Ionadi finished the week 13-for-17 for a .765 batting average in six games last week. Ionadi recorded 11 RBI, three triples, three doubles, and 13 runs scored. The second-year infielder went 3-for-3 in three different contests and recorded a .727 average in four conference games (8-for-11).

    Mattoon pitched a complete 9.0 inning game, only allowing two unearned runs while scattering five hits. Mattoon came away with seven strikeouts on the day in an 8-2 win over PS-Altoona.
  • Mac Ciocco, Penn State Behrend, Baseball (Player)

    Ciocco finished 10-for-16 in four games for a .625 average with five extra base hits, including four doubles and a triple. He also added five RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases on the week. On Saturday at Westminster, he recorded two hits and a game-high three runs batted in. In a twinbill at Mount Aloysius, Ciocco went 6-for-9 with two doubles and two RBI.

    Bielawski was lights out for the Redhawks, leading them to a 2-1 game one victory in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Bradford. In the seven inning opener, Bielawski tossed a complete game, allowing just one run, three hits, one walk and struck out four. Panther batters hit just .130 off Bielawski and he ended the game with a .57 WHIP.

    Solinski batted .412 for the week, including .500 in conference play with 11 RBI and two home runs. He scored six runs and had seven hits in five games. He recorded slugging percentage of .882 and struck out just once on the week.

    Bolla secured his first win in his first collegiate start, tossing four shutout innings in a Behrend game one victory at Franciscan. He only surrendered three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.

    Domer batted .563 with six out of nine of his hits going for extra bases for a 1.250 slugging percentage. He hit two home runs against Chatham in a Pitt-Greensburg comeback win, while also earning the win on the mound in that game. For the week, Domer scored nine runs while also recording eight RBI, three doubles, two home runs, a triple and one stolen base.
  • Tanner Abrams, Mount Aloysius College, Baseball (Pitcher)

    Abrams had a productive week out of the bullpen for the Mounties. He pitched five-plus innings in both appearances, allowing just one total earned run. He earned a victory against Dean, where he stabilized the Mounties providing 5.2 innings of three-hit baseball, while striking out four batters. It was the first victory of his career, while beginning to establish himself as a major piece of the Mountie 'pen.

    Odum had a stellar week for the Express during their spring break gauntlet down in Myrtle Beach. He was the driving force behind a Wells offense that had double-digit run totals in three out of their six games over the past week. Odum stayed hot all week, logging multi-hit games in four out of the six matchups from this past week. He totaled 10 hits, good enough for a .400 average on the week, with five of those being extra-base knocks. He also contributed a massive amount of scoring output, slugging 11 RBI and scoring 10 runs, good enough for 21 run-contributions during just six games played. 
  • Casey Jones, La Roche University, Baseball (Pitcher)

    Jones had an strong week for the Redhawks on the hill, starting two games, coming out of both with a no decision. In Monday's matchup against Washington & Jefferson, Jones tossed seven strong innings, as he allowed two runs (one earned), five hits, walked two and fanned six. He followed that performance in the Redhawks' first game at the Ripken Experience on Sunday against Fredonia, picking up another no decision. Jones tossed six innings, allowing just one run, two hits, two walks and struck out 12 in the process. For the week, Jones threw 13 innings, allowed three runs (two earned) and set down 18 batters with just four walks.
  • Corey Chamberlain, Penn State Altoona, Baseball (Player)

    Chamberlain had a strong finish to his week over the Lions' final seven games in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The junior posted four multi-hit games and finished the week with 17 total bases and five extra-base hits. In a total of seven games against Anna Maria, Calvin, Albion, Chatham, and Roger Williams, Chamberlain hit .526 (10-for-19) with nine walks, eight runs scored, six RBI, four doubles, and one home run. He had a .679 on-base percentage and slugged .895.
  • Jeff Zick, Penn State Behrend, Baseball (Pitcher)

    Zick picked up two wins in two starts for the Lions to begin the season, pitching 6.1 innings and only allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. In the season-opener at Lancaster Bible, he tossed two innings with two strikeouts. On Sunday vs. Wilkes, Zick threw 4.1 scoreless innings, only giving up one hit and striking out five batters.
  • Evan Fragela, Pitt-Bradford, Baseball (Player)

    Fragela hit .455 with two home runs, six runs scored and five RBI as the Panthers went 2-1 in their second week of play. In the tough extra-inning loss to Fredonia, Fragela was 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI while also drawing two walks and stealing a base. Behind the plate, he threw out two base runners stealing.

    James went 9-for-17 (.529) last week with seven RBI, two doubles and one triple, while also adding one stolen base as the Express opened the season going 3-1. James currently ranks third in the AMCC in batting average (.529) and fourth in RBI with seven.

    White picked up two wins last week after pitching 13.0 innings for a 2.77 ERA. In the first win against Ferrum, he pitched 6.0 innings only allowing two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. Then against New Paltz he pitched a complete 7.0 inning game allowing two earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts.

    After winning the regular season a year ago, Alfred State College is expected to finish at the top of conference standings in 2024, according to league coaches.

    The Penn State Behrend Lions baseball program participated in its annual commitment with Habitat for Humanity on Thursday, November 30. The baseball program players and coaches provided work on a new home build in Erie.
