Penn State Behrend freshman third baseman David Gibson was named the 2024 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Year, while freshman pitcher Jake Manendo earned a spot on the All-ECAC Team.

Gibson is earning his third Rookie of the Year honor after being named AMCC's and the team's Newcomer of the Year. He landed on the All-AMCC Second Team for leading the squad with 47 RBIs, five home runs and ranking second in hits with 56. He boasted a .344 batting average in 42 games played, while adding 34 runs, five triples and four doubles.

Manendo delivered a 1.52 ERA for a 4-0 record in 13 appearances. He registered one save in 29.2 innings to go along with 34 strikeouts to claim First Team All-AMCC honors. During AMCC play, Manendo recorded a 1.10 ERA to lead the conference in 16.1 innings pitched (five appearances).
