BEHREND BASEBALL HEADED TO BALDWIN WALLACE FOR NCAA REGIONALS

The Penn State Behrend baseball team will head to Berea, Ohio for the 2024 NCAA Division III Regionals on May 17-19 hosted by Baldwin Wallace University. The No. 4 seed Lions will battle the top-seed and host Yellow Jackets in the first round on Friday at 12 p.m.

No. 2 seed Catholic and No. 3 seed Adrian will matchup in the second game of the day on Friday at 3 p.m.

The tournament is double elimination with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals, which will take place on May 23-24 at Penn State Harrisburg.

Behrend captured its seventh Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) title with three straight wins in the tournament, defeating La Roche 7-1 in the championship game this past Sunday. This marks the sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Lions.

Baldwin Wallace holds a 36-8 overall record and is ranked No. 5 in the D3Baseball/NCBWA Top 25. The Yellow Jackets held the top seed in the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament, taking down Marietta by a score of 6-5 to claim the conference title and the automatic bid from the OAC.

There are 60 teams that are competing in the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship Tournament with 14 four-team regional sites and two sites with two teams. Forty-one conferences received automatic bids, while 19 schools were selected on an at-large basis from the automatic qualifying conferences.
