AMCC BASEBALL PLAYERS GARNER ALL-REGION HONORS

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), along with D3Baseball.com, both released its Division III All-Region Teams, and the AMCC saw mulitple student-athletes named to both. 

Five AMCC baseball players earned a nod on the D3Baseball.com All-Region 7 Team, while three found their names on the ABCA NCAA Div. III Region 7 All-Region Team.

Mount Aloysius College sophomore utility player Tyler Quade was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region First Team and the ABCA/Rawlings Second Team. Quade was the 2024 AMCC Player of the Year and a first team all-conference selection. Quade led the AMCC in batting average (.462), on-base percentage (.574), and was second in slugging (.731) in conference play. He scored 16 runs for the Mounties in conference play and recorded 13 RBI. His 24 hits against AMCC teams included six doubles, two home runs, and a triple. In overall stats, he ranked second in the conference with 58 hits, 17 doubles and 20 stolen bases. 

Pitt-Greensburg sophomore outfilder James Domer was named to the D3Baseball.com first team and the ABCA/Rawling third team. Domer was an AMCC second team all-conference performer this season. He led the AMCC with six home runs, while recording an OPS of 1.159 with 56 hits in 143 at bats. Domer recorded 29 extra base hits with 19 doubles, tying his production from his freshman season, one double short of the single-season program record. Domer started all 37 games for the Bobcats, batting .392 and went six-for-six in stolen bases. His 34 runs batted in was second on the team and he led the team in slugging percentage (.706) and recorded a .453 on base percentage.

Penn State Behrend sophomore shortstop Silvio Ionadi was named to both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball.com All-Region Third Teams. Ionadi was a first team all-conference selection this season. He finished first in the conference play with 21 runs scored and tied for second with two triples, while finishing second on the team with a .368 batting average (21-for-57) to go along with two home runs in 16 conference games played. During the regular season, he tallied 15 multi-hit games and eight contests with two or more runs batted in. Seven of those multi-hit games were in conference games. After the AMCC Tournament, Ionadi ranks first in the conference with 51 runs scored and six triples, third with a .392 batting average (51-for-130) and led the team with 14 stolen bases and tied for second on the team with 31 runs batted in.

Hilbert College senior second baseman John Riviere-Vejas earned D3Baseball.com All-Region Second Team honors. He recorded 38 runs, 46 hits, nine doubles, two triples and drove in 23 runs while earning seven walks, eight HBP with a .436 On Base percentage. Riviere-Vejas led the Hawks with 21 stolen bases and was second on the team with a .368 batting average. He set a new program single season record in highest stolen base percent this spring successfully advancing 21-of-22 times over 32 games. He led the AMCC during the 16-game league schedule with 10 stolen bases, and 30 hits off a .462 batting average while finishing second in runs (20) and at bats (65). 

Penn State Behrend freshman starting pitcher Colin Bolla, an AMCC all-confernce second team selection, was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region Third Team. Bolla ranked sixth in conference play with a 2.74 ERA and tied for seventh with 28 strikeouts. He recorded a 2.60 ERA and 58 strikeouts during the regular season to go along with a 4-2 record in 45.0 innings pitched (six starts). 

Penn State Behrend freshman relief pitcher Jake Manendo was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region Third Team to go along with his AMCC all-conference first team nod. In five appearances for the Lions in conference play (16.1 innings), Manendo recorded a 1.10 ERA to lead the AMCC. He finished first on the team with three wins in conference play to go along with one save and 21 strikeouts, while only walking six hitters. For the season, Manendo has delivered a 1.24 ERA for a 4-0 record in 29.0 innings (12 appearances) with 34 strikeouts.
