    William Smith College has been named the 2024 AMCC Bowling Champion. Due to an illness on the Alvernia University team, the Golden Wolves were forced forfeit on Sunday, thus declaring William Smith the tournament champion.

    Morgan led the Herons to a fifth-place finish in the Northeast Roundup over the weekend. She was 16th out of 109 bowlers scoring average (201.6) in traditional matches. Overall, she averaged an AMCC-leading 20.6 pins per frame. Morgan was second in the conference in traditional average (20.16), trailing teammate Colleen Jump, and was also second in Baker average (21.0). Her 245 game against Mercyhurst was the highest score by a Heron over the weekend, while her 236 against Kutztown was the second highest. Morgan led the AMCC in strike percentage (53.8%) and was second behind Jump in fill percentage (85.6%).

    Jump completed 103 frames and posted a league-high 18.85 average per frame. In traditional matches, she led had a league-high 19.4 pins per frame average, rolling a 213 against Merrimack and a 224 in the win over Hilbert. In the Herons' four traditional matches, she had the high game three times. In Baker matches, she averaged a team-high 18.34 pins per frame. She recorded 44 strikes on 104 attempts and averaged a league-high 9.02 pins on her first ball.

    Coughenour was named tournament MVP of the Br. Pat Lacey Memorial Invitational this Saturday. She averaged a 200.80 with a game-high of 213.
  • Skyy Nicholls, Saint Vincent College, Women's Bowling

    Nicholls led all bowlers in the AMCC Round Robin with an average of 190.2 for 97 frames. She threw strikes on 39.2% of her throws, and made 80% of her makeable spares, a season-best. She threw a 253 against Pitt-Greensburg, and added a 233 against Pitt-Bradford as SVC finished the weekend 9-1 and earned the top seed in the AMCC Championships.

    Nicholls earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University. She averaged 192.8 over five traditional games, including a 256 game. She helped to lead SVC to a 9-4 weekend record, which included five wins over NCAA Division 1 programs. Saint Vincent finished third in the 10-team event.

    Hoff led the Gothic Knights to four wins at the Northeast Classic over the weekend. She averaged a 17.64 in Baker play and a 161.9 in the traditional format, recording a single-game high of 199 against #9 SFA.
  • Frankie Kelly, Alvernia University, Women's Bowling

    Kelly finished second at the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic with an overall average of 210.25, including a single-game high of 236.  She helped lead the Golden Wolves to a second place team finish, nearly taking down top team Mount Saint Mary's but coming up short by one pin. Kelly earned her first all-tournament team honor in just her fifth tournament as a collegiate bowler.

    The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) announced the 2023 award winners from the 2023 PBA Regional Tour season during a banquet at the BowlTV PBA Regional Players Invitational January 3rd, 2024.
  • Sabine Strickland, Saint Vincent College, Bowler of the Month (December)

    Strickland led SVC in the Tier 1 US Bowling Congress Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas, NV with an overall average of 187.5 for the tournament. She had a team-high 228 against Wichita State, finishing traditional play with a 185.9 average. She was second on the team in Bakers, averaging 19.06 per frame, as SVC rallied for a 12th place finish among some of the top USBC teams in the nation

    Morgan bowled all 100 possible frames in the AMCC Round Robin and had the highest average in the conference. Morgan's high frame average of 19.06 is the highest amongst all AMCC players. Her filled frame percentage was 78% with 48/100 frames being strikes. Her double average was 41.9% and she struck in the 10th frame as anchor 59.4% of the time. These stats helped lead the Herons to a 9-1 record for the three-way tie at the top of the league standings.

  • Brookelyn Garvey, Pitt-Bradford, Women's Bowling

    Garvey won the Tournament MVP at the Daemen Fall Classic this weekend. In traditional bowling, Garvey averaged 196.80 pins per game, leading the event. She led the Panthers to a 4-1 record on the first day of competition. She also bowled anchor for the second day of competition in Baker bowling. Garvey recorded a single game-high of 225 and averaged 17.5 in Baker play.
