Men's Volleyball Wins AMCC Opener Against St. Vincent

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team tallied their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) win of the season with a 3-0 victory against St. Vincent.

* The Lions tied a program record for least amount of errors in a match
* Behrend set the record against the Bearcats last season with just four
* The Lions registered a .444 hitting percentage for the three sets
* Freshmen Logan Hering (North East, PA/North East) and Josh Meyer (Ambridge, PA/Ambridge) were both flawless in the match with eight and five kills, respectively, and no errors
* Freshman Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) posted his third straight double-digit assists match, dishing out a season-best 24
* In the first set, Behrend jumped out to a 16-6 lead and only allowed five more points for a quick 1-0 lead
* Hering and senior Colin Dedert (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) each tallied four kills in the first set
* The only time the Bobcats had a lead was after the first point of the second set
* The Lions forced seven errors in the second set and 10 in the third to sweep St. Vincent
* The win marks the third straight over the Bobcats
* Junior Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) had half of the teams blocks with a season-best six blocks (one solo, five assist)
