MEADVILLE, Pa.  – The Allegheny baseball team defeated Penn State Behrend 18-2 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Robertson Field.

Key Moments

* The Gators brought their bats in the non-conference nine-inning game, smacking 16 hits to score 18 runs with 16 RBIs
*Allegheny had a big eight-run sixth inning to pull away from the Lions
* Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) improves his hitting streak to 11 straight games, recording a long ball for his only hit
* Sada's second home run of the season gave Behrend a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning
* Joshua Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) registered his first collegiate home run in the top of the fourth, knocking it over left-field fence for the second run of the game for the Lions
* Behrend worked with five pitchers in the nine innings, starting Ben Ramey (Export, PA/Franklin Regional) who suffered his first loss of the season
