ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team shut out Houghton 4-0 to collect their first home win of the season on Tuesday night.

* Four different players scored for Behrend, including two with their first collegiate goals
* Behrend hit the crossbar and scored the lone goal in the first half
* Trinity Prestash (Phillipsburg, PA/West Branch) sent her first shot off the crossbar six minutes into the game
* Lauren Kiser (Altoona, PA/Altoona) scored her first goal of the season, the game winner, by tucking a shot into the far corner off a pass down the middle from Lizzie Hoff (Moon, PA/Moon Area)
* Christine Patterson (McKean, PA/General McLane) joined Prestash in the crossbar club with seven minutes left before the half
* The Lions added three goals over a span of 26 minutes in the second half for the final margin
* Prestash netted her second goal of the season off a header from a Patterson corner kick in the 58th minute
* Marlene Andrade (Walnut Creek, CA/Clayton Valley) and Sydnee Barnett (Doylestown, OH/Chippewa) followed with their first official tally in a Behrend uniform  
* Andrade gathered a deflected shot in the box by Kristi Buckenheimer (Beaver, PA/Beaver Area) at the 74:31 mark, while Barnett fired a shot from 30-yards out off a Mia Zec (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) pass in the 83rd minute
* Behrend goalkeeper Riley Morningstar (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was faced with two shots in her first shutout victory
