NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team split an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader with Pitt-Greensburg on Sunday. The conference double dip took place on the campus of Westminster College.

Game One: Pitt-Greensburg 16, Penn State Behrend 5
Game Two: Penn State Behrend 12, Pitt-Greensburg 8

Records: Penn State Behrend 10-9 (4-2 AMCC), Pitt-Greensburg 1-17 (1-3 AMCC)

Game One Key Moments:

* Starter Thomas Zbezinski (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) was yanked in the third inning, allowing four earned runs and eight total
* The Bobcats jumped on the Lions in inning one by scoring a pair
* Behrend was held to just two hits through four innings while staring at a 12-1 deficit
* Kullen Crosby (Coudersport, pa/Coudersport) hit a pinch-hit homer in the fifth, scoring Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) and Austin Thellman (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) to highlight the offense in the frontend of the doubleheader

Game Two Key Moments:

* Behrend opened game two with a 10-run first inning, registering seven hits
* The Lions reached safely through the first eight at bats with the streak snapped following a sacrifice bunt by Jake Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell) to set up a two-RBI single by Zack Bowen (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic)
* Bowen was one of seven players to drive in a run during the inning
* Behrend struck again in the fourth after a lead-off double from Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney)

* Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) pitched four innings in relief, earning the save by allowing just two runs and striking out five

Noteworthy:

* Eight players found the hit column in game two with six collecting multiple
* Bowen collected a team-high three hits with two RBIs and a stolen base in the win
* Bogats and Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) each went 2-for-4 in the night cap with two RBIs
* Ciocco and Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle) join the aforementioned, driving in multiple runs with two each
