ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team defeated Otterbein 80-67 in the opening game the PSB Tip-Off Tournament held in the Junker Center on Friday evening.

Key Moments:

* The Lions defeated the Cardinals for the first time in program history
* Behrend had four starters in double-figure scoring led by Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy)
* Majewski drained nine field goals and went 6-for-8 from the charity stripe for a career-high 25 points
* Freshmen Madilyn Boyer (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) and Morgan Altavilla (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) made their first collegiate starts memorable, knocking down 13 and 12 points respectively
* Boyer and Briana Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) tallied double-doubles
* Boyer led the team with 11 boards, while Dean scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds
* Otterbein held a slight 14-10 lead after the first quarter, but the Lions managed a 33-31 lead at the half
* Behrend held the Cardinals to 14 points in the first and fourth quarters
* Majewski scored 10 of the 26 third-quarter points to help the Lions take extend their lead
* As a team, Behrend shot 46.9 percent from the floor
* Otterbein was led by Katie McCrary's 16 points, while Jenna Hoschouer came off the bench for the double-double (13p, 14r)
