Women's Soccer Clinches AMCC Regular-Season Championship; Lions Defeat Hilbert

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team clinched the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) regular-season championship with a 4-0 win over Hilbert on Saturday.

Records: Penn State Behrend 4 (16-1, 7-0 AMCC), Hilbert 0 (3-9-1, 1-5-1 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Lions have earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming AMCC Playoffs and receive a bye in the first round
* Behrend recorded its seventh consecutive shutout, holding the Hawks without a shot 
* Payton Porter (State College, Pa/State College) had a hand in the first two goals, scoring the eventual game winner at the 8:08 mark
* Porter tallied her fourth goal of the season off a cross from the right side by Ava Michael (State College, PA/State College) 
* Porter then assisted Trinity Prestash (Philipsburg, PA/West Branch) 11 minutes later
* Prestash sent a shot into the left-side netting from the top of the 18-yard box for a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left to play in the first half
* Madi Jones (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) did not see any action in goal for her seventh win of the season
* Brenna McGuire (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) completed the senior scoring from the forwards with the first goal in the second half
* Karla Ochoa (Pharr, TX/IDEA Toros College Preparatory) took the initial shot, save and deflected by goalie Tahlia Kosek
* McGuire had a wide-open net to put away her eighth goal of the season
* A fourth goal was added in the 83rd minute by Bella Sestito (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) off a miscue clear from the Hilbert defense
