Penn State Behrend held on for a strong finish in the spring season to claim ownership of the 2025 AMCC Presidents Cup. The Lions earned conference titles this spring in men's tennis and baseball. At the conclusion of the year, Behrend earned 91.8 points out of a possible 109, for a league-high percentage ranking of .842.
Behrend has won the cup 22 times since its inception in 2001.
The Lions went wire to wire at the top in the Presidents Cup race. They won a total of four regular season titles and nine overall championships in 2024-25: men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and baseball. They were tournament runners up in three more (women’s basketball, men’s wrestling, and men’s volleyball). In addition to their high level team performances, Behrend also had 17 individual player award winners and 10 Coaches of the Year.
Penn State Altoona came in second place in the Presidents Cup standings, earning a .670 percentage ranking. The Altoona Lions had a strong spring season, finishing second in both the softball and men's tennis championship tournament after placing first in the regular season. The Altoona Lions men's volleyball team also earned a second place finish in the regular season.
Rounding out the top three is Alfred State College with a .601 percentage ranking. The Pioneers won the men's lacrosse title this spring, while finishing second at the AMCC baseball championship tournament.
