Penn State Altoona athletics announced on Thursday the hiring of Tyshawn White to be the head coach of its NCAA Division III men's and women's wrestling program.

Malenfant went 3-0 on the day at the John Summa Invite on Sunday. His day started with a 52 second fall over Omari Watson (Wikes). Then in the semifinals, he tallied another first round fall, this time in 1:41 over Ryan Weitz (Baldwin Wallace). In the finals, Malenfant notched a 6-3 decision win over Hunter Lowe (Wilkes) to claim the title.
Green went 3-0 at 165 pounds for the Wildcats at the John Reese Duals on Sunday, pushing his team-leading wins total to 32-13 in his freshman campaign. Green collected two first-period falls over Ayden DeForest (Oneonta) and Trevor DuBoff (Wilkes) before closing out an impressive day by upsetting Konrad Parker (Ithaca), 9-6. Parker, ranked third in the latest Northeast Region poll tech falled Green during the first weekend of the season before Green flipped the script on Sunday.
Hunt went a perfect 3-0 with three falls at the Dr. Si Ostrach Duals. Hunt started the day with his most exciting match as he battled back from down 14-1 to tie the match 14-14 before pinning Albion's Austin Matheny, ranked eighth in the Central Region. Hunt continued to turn his next two opponents from Hiram and Waynesburg, with first-period falls of 1:55 and 2:43, respectively.
Drew went 3-0 on the weekend to help the Pioneers win back-to-back regular season championships. He tallied two falls for 12 dual points and another six points for a forfeit win.
Malenfant went 3-0 against some of the best wrestlers in the nation. He opened the weekend with the 15-4 major decision win over Loras' Kam Royster. The notched two first round falls, the first came against Angel Jaimes of Aurora in 1:55. Then the final one came against Elon Martin of RIT in 2:33. The Pioneers finished 18th at the NWCA National Duals.
Levey went 3-0 with a fall and two major decisions. In the major decision vs Cortland he got the win over a national qualifier last season, then the other major decision was against a regional placer at St John Fisher.
Malenfant claimed the 184-bracket title at the New Standard Invite over the weekend. He took down Eamonn Callaghan (Ithaca) with a fall in 2:25. In his next match, Malenfant got the 1:55 fall over Luca Romasco (York). In his final match of the day, he took down Nicholas Hall (Delaware Valley) in 1:17 to advance to the semifinals. Then on day two, he notched a 9-2 decision win over Rylan Moose (Marymount). Then in the final he would get a 15-8 decision win over 10th ranked Joel Martsinovsky (Stevens). Malenfant notched an escape followed by a takedown in the first period, before getting a takedown a two-point near-fall in the second round. In the third period, Malenfant tallied two escapes, and a takedown to secure the 184-bracket title.
Thompson went 4-1 at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on his way to a third place finish in the 285 weight class. Thompson pinned his first two opponents before falling to the No. 6 wrestler in the country at his weight class. He followed that up with a major decision win and then secured third place with a 10-9 decision victory. He led the Panthers to their highest invitational finish in program history (6th) and their highest point total at an invitational (71.0).
Malenfant took home the 184 title at the Washington and Jefferson Invite while setting a new Pioneers career pins record. He started his day with a fall in 2:44. Then in his next match he got a takedown and a four-point near fall before getting his season fall of the day. He followed that with a major decision win to advance to the first-place match. Then in the first-place match, he got a fall in the first round to claim the title.
Cory finished 4-0 at the Ithaca Invitational to win the 184-pound weight class. The sophomore, ranked No. 4 in the country, earned a technical fall and pin on day one, won a 12-10 decision in the semifinals, and knocked off the No. 3 nationally ranked 184-pounder, 6-3, in the championship match.
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference is growing its sponsorship of men's wrestling with the addition of Pennsylvania College of Technology as an affiliate member, effective with the 2023-24 season.
