    Quade threw two complete games that earned the Mounties two victories, both in crucial series against AMCC Tournament qualifiers. He won his first start against La Roche, on Tuesday, where he allowed three hits and one run, also striking out four batters. He followed that up by winning his second start, allowing four hits and a run, while striking out nine batters. On the week, the freshman threw 14.0 innings, pitching to a 1.29 ERA and striking out 13 batters. He leads the AMCC in conference play in wins (4) and batting average against (.157) and is second in ERA (1.29).

    Stouffer helped the Lions to a 5-0 week to clinch the AMCC Regular Season and the rights to host the Conference Tournament. Stouffer logged an RBI in all but one game this past week and drove in multiple runs in three contests. He finished the week with 10 RBIs and having had a hit in each game, he increased his hitting streak to seven games. Offensively, he registered four multi-hit ballgames with six going for extra bases, including two homeruns with a round-tripper against Thiel and La Roche. The homerun against the Redhawks proved to be the game-winning RBI as Stouffer left the yard to give the Lions a 6-5 lead in the top of the seventh. His week concluded with a slash line of .550/.542/1.100, making for a 1.642 OPS.

    The Penn State Behrend baseball team hosts the Alfred State College Pioneers for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Games of the Week on Tuesday, April 26 at the Behrend Baseball Field.

    Glass recorded his fourth win of the season in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Hilbert, tossing his team-best sixth complete game of the spring. The right-hander pitched all nine innings, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk, and he fanned a career-high 10 batters. Glass took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, before it was broken up on a two-out double.

    Bonadio batted .565 and drove in nine runs for the Bobcats in six AMCC games last week. He was the table setter in the leadoff position and scored seven runs and added four extra base hits for the Bobcats. On top of playing a solid center field, he came in and pitched 4.1 innings of relief for his first pitching appearance of the year. He gave up just three earned runs and struck out two batters.

    Zick earned his second win of the season over Medaille last Tuesday, tossing seven-strong innings in his lone start of the week. Zick improved on his conference-leading mark in ERA, keeping the Mavericks scoreless through seven innings of work. Zick registered a dozen strikeouts and allowed just two hits with the 12 strikeouts being a new career high. Following the start, his ERA dropped to 1.53 and continue to lead the AMCC.

    Bowen registered a hit in all five games last week including multi-hit performances in four, helping the Lions to a perfect 5-0 record. Bowen collected 12 hits in 22 at bats (.545) and hit for extra bases seven times including two homeruns. He finished the week with an astounding 1.091 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.674. Bowen produced 13 runs and drove in eight while swiping six bags without getting caught. Bowen was on cycle watch in both victories over Altoona, completing three legs of the rare accomplishment while combining for six hits in the conference sweep. In addition, Bown picked up the save on the mound in the Lions' 6-1 victory over Medaille.

    On April 13th, Hilbert College catcher Samuel Mullen joined John Riviere-Vejas as the second Hawk this season to be selected to the D3Baseball National Team of the Week.

    McAndrews played a vital role this week for the Hawks out of the bullpen, picking up both a win and save. On Tuesday, he tossed 1.2 scoreless innings of relief to pickup the win at Pitt-Bradford. Then on Saturday, McAndrews came in with the Hawks leading La Roche 4-2 and the bases loaded and got a big strikeout to get out of the jam. He proceeded to throw the final 10 outs of the game, striking out five batters and did not allow a single run to earn his second save of the season. The right-hander finished the week with a .167 batting average against after allowing just three hits over two appearances. McAndrews is now 1-0 with a pair of saves over 8.0 innings pitched in conference play and has yet to allow a run.

    Barinas was a dominant force in the Pioneers' double AMCC sweep last week to extend their win streak to 10 and remain undefeated in conference play. In four games, Barinas went 9-for-10 at the plate, recorded a .900 batting average, 1.400 slugging percentage, seven RBIs, five runs, two triples, one double and stole five bases. In their sweep over Medaille, he went a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate. In their 11-5 win in game one he had two RBIs and scored one run. In game two, they won 12-2 and he contributed three RBIs, one run and one triple. Against Penn St.-Altoona, Barinas was a combined 3-for-4 at the plate. In their 4-0 shutout in game one, he had one run and one triple. In their 13-3 win in game two he was 1-for-1 at the plate and recorded two RBIs and two runs.

    ogers recorded his first win this season during the Redhawks' conference play debut, and he threw a shutout. Medaille did not score a single run with Rogers on the mound for the Redhawks. He pitched all nine innings of the second game of the double header and faced 33 batters. He threw 89 pitches on the day, and 70 of them were strikes; 26 first pitches thrown were also strikes. Rogers struck out 11 batters, and only allowed four hits.

    Serce was a key part in the Alfred State baseball team's 3-0 week, including two conference wins, to keep their win streak alive. In three games, Serce recorded five hits, three runs, four RBIs and a .455 batting average. In the Pioneers' 13-9 win over RIT, Serce picked up his first win of the season after pitching five innings and only allowing four hits and two runs, while walking five and striking out six. He also recorded one hit, one run and was walked once at the plate. To open up conference play, Serce went went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in their 5-2 win over Pitt. Greensburg. In their second game against the Bobcats, Serce went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and another home run.

    Quade made two appearances last week, as he made the start and pitched six innings against Grove City, where the Mounties got the win. He then came in relief in an extra-inning game against Gettysburg where he picked up the win against the Bullets. On Monday against Grove City, Quade threw six innings where he struck out five and walked two, while giving up two runs, as the Mounties went on to win 7-6. Quade then entered the game against Gettysburg, throwing 3.0 innings and not allowing a run in the 9th, 10th, or 11th innings to earn the victory out of the bullpen. He is currently tied for fourth in the AMCC with a 4.5 ERA on the season.

    Avallone was a vital part of the Pioneers' 3-0 record last week. In three games, Avallone recorded a .636 batting average, 1.182 slugging percentage and hit his sixth and seventh home runs of the season, in which he leads the conference. He also added five RBIs and three runs scored on the week. In their 12-2 win over Houghton, Avallone was walked four times, had one run and one RBI. In their 6-2 win over RIT, he went 3-for-5 including a two-run homer. The very next day, in a 4-3 win over St. John Fisher, he went 4-for-5 with another two-run homer. Avallone also leads the AMCC in RBIs with 23 and is tied for second in batting average with .457.

    Lagnese had the best start of his career on the Mounties' trip to Myrtle Beach. He threw 6.0 innings and scattered three hits. He allowed only one run, which was unearned, for a 0.0 ERA on the week. In addition, he had six strikeouts and one walk allowed. Lagnese dropped his season ERA down to 3.00 with the performance.

    Riviere-Vejas had a monumental week, swiping a staggering nine bases in just four games to put him atop the AMCC with 12 stolen bases for the season. Rivière-Vejas was equally as impressive at the plate logging nine hits, including a pair of doubles, to finish the week with an impressive .692 batting average and .765 on base percentage over 17 plate appearances. In addition, he scored eight runs and drove in two more to lead the Hawks to wins over Geneva and Sage. Rivière-Vejas now sits in the top-five in the AMCC in batting average (.450), on base percentage (.520) and runs scored (15) in addition to leading the league in stolen bases.
