MOUNTIES SET TO OPEN NCAA TOURNAMENT IN MARIETTA REGIONAL

On Sunday, the Mount Aloysius College baseball team won their first-ever AMCC Championship in program history. The championship earned them the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA field of 60 was released on Monday.

Mount Aloysius is set to travel to the four-team regional, hosted by Marietta College, the top seed. The Mounties earned the #3 seed in the region and are set to play Christopher Newport University in their first game. The regional is a double-elimination format with the winner advancing to the Super Regional Round.

The Mounties will be making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament. They have currently tied the program record in wins in a season, with 27. They will look to break that mark at Marietta, beginning Friday.

Ticket information and other regional related information will be available on the Mount Aloysius website once it is received.
