On April 13th, Hilbert College catcher Samuel Mullen joined John Riviere-Vejas as the second Hawk this season to be selected to the D3Baseball National Team of the Week.

Mullen had an impressive week at the plate helping lead the Hawks to a 3-1 record with wins over Pitt-Bradford and La Roche. The Hawks backstop had three multi-hit games and finished the week with a .615 batting average (8 for 13), .706 on base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage. The Silver Creek native hit a pair of doubles and a home run while finishing the week with eight runs batted in, four walks and three runs scored.

The Tiffin transfer has been outstanding in conference play thus far helping the Hawks to a 4-2 league record which currently places them in a tie for third place in the AMCC. Mullen leads the AMCC in batting average (.550), slugging percentage (1.050) and OPS (1.675) in conference play. For the season, he has a .356 batting average and .422 on base percentage with six doubles, two home runs, 12 runs batted in and nine runs scored over 15 games played.
