Tigers Steal Three Sets

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg was back on their home court tonight to face off with the Terriers of Hiram College. The Tigers were able to pick up their first win of the season after having a clean three set gain with scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-23.

Wittenberg went back and forth with Hiram for the first half of the first set before pulling away after a tied 9-9 score. The Tigers took the first set with a score of 25-21. They came back in the second set with the same momentum from the first and took an early lead and were able to steal the second set with a 25-20 score. Wittenberg was able to do the same in the third set and took down the Terriers in a close 25-23.

The Tigers were led by Russ Burke with ten kills, followed by Dominic Melchiorre with eight. While Aidan Hauter led in digs with nine on the night. 

Up Next: Wittenberg will be back in action on March 6th to take on Fontbonne in a road match.
