MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The University of Olivet baseball team fell to Wells (N.Y.) College in a non-conference doubleheader today on Griffith Field. The Express came-from-behind to win the games, 10-5 and 9-4.
- Final Scores: Wells 10, Olivet 5; Wells 9, Olivet 4

- Records: Olivet 4-8 overall, Wells 8-6 overall
- The Comets scored two runs in both the first and second innings.
- Wells batted around and scored six runs in the bottom half of the second inning.
- Olivet tacked on a run in the third inning to make the score 6-4.
- The Express added two runs in the fifth and sixth innings for the final 10-4 score.
- Freshman Austin Alflen was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
- Freshman Jack Friesen collected two RBI.
- Sophomore Nate Droste suffered the pitching loss. He gave up eight runs (three earned) on six hits over three and two-thirds innings.
- After Wells plated one run in the top half of the first inning, Olivet answered with three runs in the bottom half of the frame.
- The Express tied the game with single tallies in the third and fourth innings.
- The Comets took the lead back with a run in the fifth inning.
- Wells regained the lead with a three-run sixth and scored three more runs in the seventh.
- Freshman Chase Alford had two hits and two RBI. Both of his hits were doubles.
- Sophomore Braden Abbott started the game on the mound and allowed three runs on seven hits over five innings.
- Junior Davion Jackson was the losing pitcher after giving up the final six runs (three earned) on four hits.
- The Comets wrap-up their spring break trip with a single game tomorrow against Fredonia State (N.Y.) University at 3 p.m. The game will be played on Griffith Field.
