Men's Volleyball Goes 2-0 In Tri-Match

ERIE, Pa. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team sweeps Hilbert and Penn Sate-Behrend, 3-0 at the PSB Tri-Match at Penn State-Behrend.

In the first match against Hilbert (9-13), SHU was led by Matthew Dugan, who had 11 kills and 13 digs. Tyler Hubbard-Neil and Chris Horner each added eight kills. Jeff Hardman had 28 assists.

Korey Schwab and Michael Podgorny led the attack for Hilbert with 11 kills each. Adam Heftka had 25 helpers while Brett Kane led the defense with 14 digs.

SHU won with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-23.

Dugan led the Saints with 14 kills in the second match against Penn State-Behrend (6-14). Hardman had another 28 assists. John Kalugar finished the match with nine digs. Hubbard-Neil had three aces of the Saints eight. 

Eric Theiss had 11 kills for Penn State-Behrend. Anthony Sprentz had 25 helpers and Tyler Herrmann had nine digs.

SHU won with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-14.

The Saints (15-6) return to action on Wednesday for a Mideast match up at Lawrence Tech. Game is set to start at 7 p.m.
