  • HILBERT'S DELANEY NAMED TO CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

    Hilbert College senior outfielder Maia Delaney was named to the 2020 Academic All-District® Softball Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
  • AMCC SENIOR SALUTES CONTINUE WITH SOFTBALL

    The AMCC continues its Senior Salute Series with the sport of softball. Most AMCC softball teams completed 10 or fewer games, with no team completing more than 12 games, before their seasons were abruptly ended due to the COVID19 pandemic.
  • Alexa Haberer, D'Youville College, Women's Softball - Pitcher

    Haberer had another stellar week this past week in the circle, as she recorded her first career perfect game. Haberer began the week with a complete game in the 3-1 win over North Park. She pitched 7.0 innings allowing one earned run with one strikeout and three hits. Then on Wednesday against Alverno, Haberer pitched her first career perfect game in the 12-0 win. She went 5.0 innings pitched, striking out nine with no hits, runs, or walks. She then closed out the week by pitching 6.0 innings, striking out three. At the plate, Haberer tallied three hits with a run and two RBI. Haberer currently ranks second in the AMCC in ERA and wins and fourth in strikeouts.
  • Anna Swierczewski, Franciscan University, Women's Softball - Player

    Swierczewski had an outstanding week for the Lady Barons as they went 5-1 on the week. Swierczewski posted a batting average of .458, slugging .750 while having an OPS of 1.212. On the week she went 11-for-24 with two doubles, a triple, and a homerun. Swierczewski scored six runs and added 10 RBI while swiping five bases, helping the Lady Barons expand their record to 9-3 start to the season.

    The AMCC Presidents Council has voted unanimously to cancel conference competition for the remainder of the academic year, effective immediately.

    D'Youville College softball head coach and Director of Athletics Ona Halladay made history on Saturday evening as she earned her 100th win with the program.
  • Alexa Haberer, D'Youville College, Softball - Pitcher

    Haberer has been a big part of the team's 4-0 start to the season in the circle and at the plate. Haberer began the season opener against UMass.-Dartmouth on Saturday, as she pitched a 7.0 inning complete game, allowing just four hits and no runs while striking out seven in the 5-0 win. In the next game on Saturday against Geneva, Haberer's impact came at the plate where she went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the 3-2 win over the Golden Tornadoes. On Sunday, Haberer again took the circle pitched a 7.0 inning complete game in the 10-3 win over St. Scholastica. For the week, she went 2-0 with two complete games, giving up just two earned runs in 14 innings while striking out 15 batters and recording a 1.00 ERA. Haberer is currently tied for first in the AMCC in wins (2) and complete games (2), second in strikeouts (15), and fifth in ERA (1.00), and tied for fourth in inings pitched (14.0).
  • Allyson Weiss, Franciscan University, Softball - Player

    Weiss had an excellent start to her 2020 campaign, helping to lead the Barons to a 3-1 start. Weiss went 8-for-14 in the opening four games of the season, posting a batting average of .571, and an OPS of 1.386. She hit three doubles and stole five bases this week. During game two of Franciscan's doubleheader with Mary Baldwin, Weiss became the first Lady Baron to reach the 100 hit plateau and later she provided a game-tying RBI single in the seventh inning helping Franciscan jump out to a 3-1 start this season. For the week, Weiss scored six runs, stole five bases, while also recording three doubles and an RBI. She was just as effective in the field, recording 11 putouts with six assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
  • Kerrigan Hoffman, Pitt-Bradford, Softball (Pitcher)

    Hoffman pitched eight innings over two games in the Panthers opening weekend without allowing an earned run. In her first game of the season, Hoffmann allowed four unearned runs on six hits in six innings work against Fredonia. She pitched in relief on Saturday, allowing one unearned run in two innings of work.
  • Chloe Cordova, Pitt-Bradford, Softball (Player)

    Cordova hit .333 in her first weekend playing for the Panthers. She recorded five hits for Pitt-Bradford including a triple and a double. She scored three runs and drove in three more. She also played a flawless centerfield in tough conditions, recording 10 putouts without an error over the four games.
