Women’s Soccer faces shutout against conference-leading Penn State Behrend

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. --- Carlow University women's soccer lost a 7-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest to Penn State Behrend at AHN Montour Saturday.

Behrend's Trinity Prestash scored four goals to lead the Lions (11-4-1, 7-0-1 AMCC) to victory.

The Lions out-shot the Celtics (2-9-3, 2-5-1 AMCC), 42-4 (20-3 on goal) and garnered all five corner kicks on the day.

Carlow goalkeeper Rebecca Crawford snagged a season-high 13 saves in the complete game effort.

Prestash scored two goals within the first 10 minutes of action to put the Lions on the board early.

Rachel Sickeri found Mia Zec at 22' to put Behrend ahead, 3-0, but the Celtics would hold the Lions scoreless for the next 31 minutes.

Carlow's best look of the match came off a free kick that found Hannah Biros in the box at 43', but Behrend's keeper came up with the save.

Prestash picked up a hat trick at the 53-minute mark and tallied her fourth at 62'.

Kristi Buckenheimer scored with a header off a free kick minutes later at 66', and Lauren Kiser scored the Lions' final goal in the 79th minute.

Tianna Torles put two shots on net for the Celtics.

Carlow hosts Pitt Greensburg for the final match of the regular season at 4 p.m. Oct. 24. The Celtics are hosting a "Carlow Kicks Cancer" event, and fans are encouraged to bring new beanies/hats or blankets to donate to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
