Men’s Soccer blanked in AMCC contest against Mount Aloysius

CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost an 11-0 AMCC bout against Mount Aloysius College on the road Tuesday.
The Mounties (5-4-1, 1-1 AMCC) outshot the Celtics 35-1 and held a 15-0 corner kick advantage on the afternoon.
Zac Kolich (Enon Valley, Pa./Blackhawk HS/Pittsburgh Technical College) made a season-high 12 saves in the complete game effort in goal, and Logan Alexander (Manchester Twp., N.J./Manchester Township HS) put Carlow's lone shot on net.
The Celtics (2-7, 0-2 AMCC) held the Mounties to just three goals in the first half. Mount Aloysius struck two early in the third and ninth minutes before putting in the final goal of the half at 26'.
The Mounties ramped up scoring in the second half, tallying a goal at 48' before landing three more within the span of six minutes beginning at 54'.
Bill Dohren added two more at 63' and 67', and Andrew Dillon added the final two at 77' and 85'.
Braden Callahan had three goals and an assist to lead the Mounties, and Daniel Irujo added three assists.
The Celtics return to action with Senior Day Saturday, Oct. 5 beginning at 4 p.m.
