AMCC 'MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS' VIRTUAL 5K

AMCC 'MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS' VIRTUAL 5K

The AMCC Take-A-Break-For-Self-Care Virtual 5K is happening now! You can participate on any day or time through Sunday, November 1.

The focus of the race is on the mental health and well-being of the hundreds of student-athletes, coaches and administrators of the AMCC during these challenging times. The AMCC hopes this event inspires everyone to get outside, socially distance, eat healthy, get plenty of sleep, and have fun!

The race is open to all AMCC student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff members, Faculty Athletic Representatives, and Presidents/Chancellors.

WHEN/HOW: Complete the registration form at any point between now and November 1 and then run or walk a 5K prior to 11:59pm (EDT) on November 1. Once you complete the 5K, send an email with your name, "title" (student-athlete or staff member), school, and time to amcc5K@gmail.com. Time submissions are due by 12:00pm on Monday, November 2.

Once completed, we encourage you to post a photo/selfie of yourself participating in the race on social media, include the hashtag #AMCCmentalhealthmatters5K and tell everyone your favorite stress release tip (Take a nap! Walk my dog! etc.).

PRIZES: All registered participants that run or walk a 5K and submit their time will receive an AMCC Take-A-Break-Self-Care 5K t-shirt! Bragging rights will be earned by those that record the fastest time in their category: AMCC Student-Athletes (M/F by sport) | AMCC Athletic Dept. Staff/Coaches, FARs & Presidents (M/F) | Overall Best Costume - let's get in that Halloween spirit and have some fun! (best costume will not be contingent on time). The school with the highest percentage of student-athlete participants will also be recognized!

Registration is now open and will stay open through the end of the day on November 1.
