Franciscan University senior Grace Galligan has impressed on the course all season and her final race for the Franciscan women's cross country team was no exception. Galligan captured 24th overall in a very competitive NCAA DIII National Championship meet and earned the first All-America honors for the women's program, Saturday afternoon.

Franciscan University sophomore Liam Galligan was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Runner of the Month for the month of October in the South Region, while Penn St. Behrend freshman Zachary Tingley picked up Rookie of the Month honors.
Galligan earned back-to-back AMCC individual champion titles. He crossed the 8K finish line in 26:02.66, leading the Barons to their second AMCC team title, and the first since 2010.
Penn State Behrend will look to claim their eighth straight, and 12th overall, AMCC men's cross country title this weekend on the campus of Franciscan University. However, they will have to get past Liam Galligan and the Franciscan University Barons, in order to do so.
Bauerle ran a 19:46 5K to win the La Roche Invitational and help the Redhawks place first on their home course. Bauerle finished the race in first place out of 17 runners.
Galligan captured second out of 309 runners at the Inter-Regional Rumble, leading the Barons to a third-place team finish - their highest team finish in program history at the meet. It was Galligan's fifth top-10 finish of the season and back-to-back second-place finishes in a meet. Galligan completed the 8K course in 25:24.4.
Moran helped lead the Spartans to a first place finish at the Meghan Memorial on Saturday at Hilbert. Moran finished first overall with a time of 17:37, nearly a full minute faster than the second place runner. Moran has also finished as the top runner for the Spartans in every meet they have run this season.
Long finished 38th among DIII runners at the All-Ohio Championship with a personal-best time of 26:12.6. Long dropped his previous personal best by 24 seconds in an 8K race. He recorded his fastest 8K time of the season by just under a minute.
Galligan won the 2018 FUS Invitational by 1:56.33, which was his first individual win of the season. He completed the 8K course in 26:00.3 to lead the Barons to a first place team finish, as well.
Galligan set his PR for a 5-mile race at Notre Dame by finishing in 25:50.47. He was the top Division III finisher at the meet and ran third fastest time recorded by a Baron at the National Catholic Invitational.
On Friday, September 14, Penn State Behrend hosted the Behrend Invitational, while the Franciscan University cross country teams traveled to South Bend, IN for the National Catholic Championship hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
Galligan led the Barons to their first team meet win since the 2016 season as they took first place in the Westminster College Fisher Invitational. Galligan posted a personal record in an 8K race by six seconds (25:40.20) and was the fastest AMCC runner at the meet by 1:26. He finished second individually out of 73 runners.
D'Youville College, Hilbert College, and Medaille College cross country teams all participated in the Daniel Walker Invitational hosted by Buffalo State on Saturday morning.
