GALLIGAN EARNS BACK-TO-BACK CROSS COUNTRY TITLES; FRANCISCAN CROWNED TEAM CHAMPION

Franciscan University sophomore Liam Galligan claimed back-to-back AMCC men's cross country titles when he crossed the finish line 26:02.66 on a cold and wet Saturday morning. Galligan's stellar performace helped lead the Barons to their second men's cross country title, and first since 2010.

Franciscan claimed the top team spot with a team score of 20 points. Penn State Behrend came in second with 37 points, while D'Youville College was third with 93.

Also turning in strong performances for the Barons include Mark Borek, who earned runner-up status with a time of 26:58.25. Nick Long completed a trio of Franciscan runners finishing in the front, as he took the third spot in 27:03.91.

Top finishers for Behrend inlcude Zachary Tingly, who placed fourth with a time of 27:16.61 and Zachary Wortman who was fifth, crossing the finish line in 27:23.26.
