FRANCISCAN'S LIAM GALLIGAN CLAIMS BACK-TO-BACK RUNNER OF THE YEAR HONORS

Franciscan University sophomore Liam Galligan, the top men's finisher at the AMCC championship meet, is the 2018 AMCC Runner of the Year. Galligan has had an outstanding sophomore campaign for the Barons. He finished in the top 10 in every race this season against DIII opponents, including a pair of wins at the Franciscan Invitational and the AMCC championship meet. Galligan set his career-best time at the All-Ohio Championships, in which he took ninth overall and second against DIII runners with a time of 24:23.8. Galligan won the 2018 AMCC championship individual title with a time of 26:02.7 for his second title in a row and helped the Barons to their first team title since 2010.

Penn State Behrend freshman Zachary Tingley has been named the Newcomer of the Year.  Tingley led Penn State Behrend and was the top overall freshman at the 2018 AMCC Cross Country Championship. Tingley finished fourth overall in the race with a time of 27.16.61. On the season, Tingley competed in five events.  He was a top-three runner for the Lions all fall, crossing the finish line as the top Behrend Lion performer on two occasions.

Franciscan head coach Dan Kuebler was named the Coach of the Year. Kuebler led the Barons to their second team title, and first since the 2010 season. This is Kuebler's third coach of the year title on the men's side.
