The Franciscan University men's cross country team opened the season with an impressive team win at the 2018 Fisher Invite as five Barons placed in the top-10. The Penn State Behrend men claimed a third place team finish.
The Barons were led by sophomore Liam Galligan who posted a career-best 8K time of 25:40.20 to take second overall, while leading all AMCC runners.
Sophomore Mark Borek ran a strong race to open the year as he took sixth overall with a time of 26:55.7. Senior Nick Long was right on Borek's heels as he took seventh overall with a time of 27:02.46. Junior Matthew Crotteau took eighth overall and was the fourth Baron across the finish line as he came in at 27:11.69. Classmate Grady Stuckman was right behind Crotteau as he took ninth overall and was the final scoring runner for the Barons with a time of 27:13.46.
Behrend sophomore Zach Wortman placed seventh overall with a time of 27:06.19 to lead the Lions.
