D'YOUVILLE, HILBERT, AND MEDAILLE COMPETE AT DANIEL WALKER INVITATIONAL

D'Youville College, Hilbert College, and Medaille College cross country teams all participated in the Daniel Walker Invitational hosted by Buffalo State on Saturday morning.

On the men's side, NCAA Division II Daemen College came in 1st Place with four of their scoring runners finishing in the top 7.  Buffalo State took second with 43 points and the Hawks trailed 3rd Place D'Youville who scored 70 points.  Medaille closed the field with 119 points.

D'Youville junior Patrick Moran was the highest-placing AMCC runner, as he crossed the 5K finish line in third place with a time of 17:38. Medaille's Nicholas Cicero earned an 8th place finish in 18:49, while Hilbert senior Adam Droz was 11th after crossing the finish line in 19:04.

For the women, Buffalo State took the team title with 43 points. D'Youville took a 4th place team finish while Hilbert was 5th.

D'Youville freshman Samantha Ruszczyk took second overall for the women with a time of 20:58, less than 0:30 off the leader and over 0:40 ahead of the next runner. Hilbert senior Megan Lee finished in 11th place in 23:23.
