Franciscan University sophomore Liam Galligan was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Runner of the Month for the month of October in the South Region, while Penn St. Behrend freshman Zachary Tingley picked up Rookie of the Month honors.

Galligan led the Barons to their second AMCC championship in program history as he won the AMCC individual title with a time of 26:02.66. His individual title is the second of his career so far. Two weeks prior, Galligan took second at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin, as he crossed the finish line at 25:24.4. Galligan has had an impressive sophomore campaign as he has earned a top-10 finish in every race this season and has two wins under his belt.

Tingley led Penn State Behrend and was the top overall freshman at the 2018 AMCC Cross Country Championships.  Tingley finished fourth overall in the race with a time of 27.16.61. On the season, Tingley competed in five events.  The rookie was a top-three runner for PSB all fall, crossing the finish line as the top Behrend Lion performer on two occasions.
