18 AMCC BOWLERS NAMED TO NTCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMJuly 14, 201818 student-athletes from AMCC women’s bowling programs were named to the 2017-18 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team, which was released on Monday.

AMCC ANNOUNCES WINTER SPORTSMANSHIP TEAMApril 02, 2018All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team. These individuals are selected by vote of their teammates.

MOUNTIES' AMON NAMED PICKS UP THIRD STRAIGHT BOWLER OF THE YEAR HONOR; ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCEDMarch 12, 2018Mount Aloysius College junior Rayissa Amon has been named the AMCC Bowler of the Year for the third year in a row. She rolled an AMCC-high traditional average of 197 and a conference-high Baker average of 18.8. She bowled a team format single game high of 247, also placing her tops in the league. Amon led the Mounties to an AMCC regular season championship, as well as a runner-up finish and spot on the all-tournament team at the conference championship. Amon was named MVP of the Wilmington Invitational and was a four-time AMCC Bowler of the Week this season.

Mackenzie Derleth, Medaille College, Women's BowlingMarch 05, 2018Derleth came to play for the Mavericks on Championship Saturday, leading the team with a 21.5 pins per frame Baker average and being named to the AMCC All-Conference Team. Derleth helped Medaille win their second straight AMCC Tournament Championship.

Morgan Walsh, Medaille College, Women's BowlingFebruary 26, 2018Walsh had a fantastic week for the Mavericks, both in the dual match with Daemen College and at the Molloy College Lion Invitational. Against the Wildcats she was one of four Mavericks to bowl a 200-plus individual game with a season high 216. In the baker format she knocked down 178 pins in nine frames for an incredible 19.8 baker average. She was just as good this weekend, averaging 17.3 pins per frame on day one and finishing day two with the second best baker average of the tournament with an 18.97

Michelle Bello, Mount Aloysius College, Women's BowlingFebruary 19, 2018Bello was selected for the Second All-Tournament Team as a result of her efforts over the weekend at the James Brown Tournament in Baltimore, MD. She averaged 200 (1003) for five traditional games and 18.6 for 71 baker frames as the Mounties went 8-5 over the weekend.

Carla Hansen, Medaille College, Women's BowlingFebruary 12, 2018Hansen continued her dominant play last week, helping the Mavs go 2-1 against D-II squad Daemen College. Hansen averaged an impressive 207 in the team format portion, bowling a team-best 215 after knocking down 199 in the first match. In the Baker match she was just as impressive, knocking down 157 pins in eight frames for a 19.6 average in the win.

Carla Hansen, Medaille College, Women's BowlingFebruary 05, 2018Hansen had herself one heck of a weekend at the AMCC Round Robin, helping Medaille sweep the field and go 4-0 against the field. Hansen ended Saturday with a team best 189.8 average, topping the 200 mark on three separate occasions. She bowled a 203 twice then followed that up with a 231, as she was an iatrical part of the Mavs going undefeated on the week.

MEDAILLE TAKES SECOND ROUND ROBIN; TOURNAMENT SEEDS SETFebruary 03, 2018Medaille College went undefeated in the second AMCC bowling round robin of the season, in a match that determined the seeding for the conference championship tournament in Buffalo next month.

Elizabeth Minnard, Medaille College, Women's BowlingJanuary 29, 2018Minnard continued her impressive freshman campaign with a very strong showing this weekend at the Red Flash Invitational. Minnard rolled a season best 223, while posting a five-game average of 193.4 on the weekend. On the baker side, she posted an 18.2 Baker Scoring average on Friday and an overall baker frame average 17.5 for the weekend.

Morgan Walsh, Medaille College, Women's BowlingJanuary 22, 2018Walsh had a strong weekend for the Mavericks as they went 5-10 on the week. Medaille opened up with a 2-0 sweep over Penn St.-Behrend before traveling to the Kutztown Winter Invitational. The tournament had nine of the top ten teams in attendance and despite going 5-10 on the week, they held their own against some of the nations top competition. Walsh was the team's steadiest bowler, averaging 179.6 on the week with an 18.0 baker frame average. She also had her personal best single game with a 213 in a matchup with #8 University of Maryland.

Hali Hartley, Penn State Behrend, Women's BowlingDecember 11, 2017Hartley led the charge in two of the three games for the Lions, bowling a 135, 176 and a 156, respectively, averaging a 155.67 on the day.

Rayissa Amon, Mount Aloysius College, Women's BowlingDecember 04, 2017Amon anchored all 86 baker frames for an impressive 20.2 average. She also was selected as Most Valuable Player in the Wilmington (DE) Wildcat Tournament, rolling a 211 average for the five traditional games with scores of 214, 215, 222, 201 and 207.

Beth Longer, Mount Aloysius College, Women's BowlingNovember 13, 2017Longer averaged 19.9 on Sunday and 17.8 on Saturday helping the Mounties go undefeated in the first AMCC Round Robin of the season. and roll an impressive 1001 match against Medaille. Beth rolled a total of 1328 pins for 70 frames for a 18.9 for the 2 day total.

Rayissa Amon, Mount Aloysius College, Women's BowlingNovember 06, 2017Amon finished second overall in the traditional format for five games making the Virginia Union Invitational all tournament team. She rolled an impressive 18.7 baker frame average in Sunday's finals and a 17.9 baker average in Friday's baker matches. Amon averaged a 204 during the team format, and rolled a single game high of 225.

Mackenzie Derleth, Medaille College, Women's BowlingOctober 30, 2017Derleth led the Mavericks to a 2-1 record by averaging 188 in the team matches and 13.1 in the Baker matches. Derleth also rolled a single-game high of 198 against Pitt-Bradford.
