MOUNTIES' AMON NAMED PICKS UP THIRD STRAIGHT BOWLER OF THE YEAR HONOR; ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCED

Mount Aloysius College junior Rayissa Amon has been named the AMCC Bowler of the Year for the third year in a row.  She rolled an AMCC-high traditional average of 197 and a conference-high Baker average of 18.8. She bowled a team format single game high of 247, also placing her tops in the league. Amon led the Mounties to an AMCC regular season championship, as well as a runner-up finish and spot on the all-tournament team at the conference championship. Amon was named MVP of the Wilmington Invitational and was a four-time AMCC Bowler of the Week this season.

Medaille College freshmen Carla Hansen and Liz Minnard have been tabbed as Co-Newcomers of the Year. 

Hansen recorded a 20.2 Baker frame average at the  AMCC championships on her way to being named to the all-tournament team. She also averaged a 17.5 in the Baker format during the regular season and 176.2 team format average, including a 231 single-game high.

Minnard registered a 16.8 Baker average, including a 17.7 average at the AMCC Championships. She also averaged 183.5 in the team format, including a 234 single-game high during the regular season.

Medaille head coach Laura Edholm receives her second Coach of the Year honor after leading the Mavs to a 13-1 conference record and back-to-back AMCC championships.
