Tennis drops home match to Penn State Behrend

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's tennis dropped a home match to AMCC competitor Penn State Behrend at Alpha Tennis & Fitness Saturday morning.

The Celtics (0-4) took a few games off the Nittany Lions (5-2) throughout the day, but Behrend ended up with the 9-0 win.

Last season, Behrend made it to the AMCC Championships for the third straight year where they ended up the runners-up to defending champion Pitt Greensburg.

The Nittany Lions swept doubles, with Karissa Miller and Julia Piatt taking three games in the No. 1 doubles spot.

Caitlin McCarthy won four games in the No. 3 singles spot while Piatt won three, but the Celtics were unable to come up with a win.
