Men’s Soccer concludes regular season with loss to Pitt Greensburg

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's soccer capped its season with a 5-0 loss to Pitt Greensburg at Highmark Stadium Tuesday night.

The Celtics ended the season 2-13-1 overall and 1-8 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action. Carlow picked up both of its wins on the road this year.

The Bobcats improved to 9-5-2 overall and 6-2-1 in league play.

Kevin Garcia recorded his sixth double-digit save game of the season with 10 in the complete game effort. Ian Wohlfarth played a solid game defensively for the Celtics, clearing several balls and blocking shots throughout the night.

Brett Barnes earned the clean sheet for the Bobcats with three saves.

Zander Plizga scored both of Pitt Greensburg's goals in the first half with a goal at 19' and a penalty kick at 43'. He assisted Kyle Ryan's goal in the 62nd minute that put the Bobcats ahead, 3-0.

Pitt Greensburg tallied its final two unassisted goals 10 minutes apart at 75' and 85' to end the game.

The Bobcats out-shot the Celtics, 35-4 (15-3 on goal), and held a 9-1 corner kick advantage.
