The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team won its first ever United East Outdoor Championship with 180 team points, outscoring nine other teams this weekend.
Taylor broke the meet record in triple jump with a personal best distance of 10.63 meters to place first in the event. Taylor also snagged a personal best with a second-place leap of 4.67 meters in long jump. She was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed first. Every single Carlow University women's outdoor track & field athlete placed in the top-10 in their respective events to help lift the Celtics to a second-place finish at the USCAA Championship Saturday.
Wagner led the way with two first place finishes in the 100 and 200. She broke the meet record in the 200 with a time of 26.16, besting the previous record (26.44) set by Loren Winters from Mississippi University for Women in 2022. Wagner was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed first with their best time this season of 50.79. Every Carlow women's outdoor track & field athlete placed in the top-10 in their respective events to help lift the Celtics to a second-place finish at the USCAA Championship Saturday.
Wagner placed fourth and fifth in the 100 and 00 with times of 12.65 and 26.28, respectively and was also part of the 4x100 relay team that finished third with a time of 51.74 as the Celtics competed against 16 other colleges and universities across all three NCAA divisions.
Kappeler was the top-finisher in the field for the Lions at the Westminster Invitational with a distance of 16-8 ½ in the long jump. She also placed eighth in the pole vault (10-5 1/4) and 10th in the 100m dash (13.18). Kappeler was a member of the 4x1 relay team that delivered a fourth-place time of 52.04.
Wagner led the Celtics with a fifth-place finish in the 200 with a time of 26.27, while also placing sixth in the 400 (1:02.36) and was part of the 4x100 relay team that finished 10th with a time of 53.47 as Carlow recorded six top-10 finishes at the Westminster College Invitational Saturday.
Smith led the way for the Celtics with a first-place leap of 1.50 meters in high jump. Smith was also part of the 4x400 relay team that placed second with a time of 4:46.54 as Carlow kicked off the outdoor season placing fourth of five teams at the Bob Lewis Classic, hosted by Frostburg State University Friday.

Kappeler kicked off the Carnegie Mellon Invite with an AARTFC qualifying clearance of 11-3 for fourth place in the pole vault. She was a member of the 4x1 relay team that tallied a fifth-place finish with a time of 51.40. Kappeler completed her solid start to the outdoor season with a score of 15-11 3/4 in the long jump for eighth place.
Laffan ran a 10th place time of 1:02.75 in the 400m at Carnegie Mellon on Saturday. She was also a member of the 4x1 relay team that finished fifth with a time of 51.40.
