Alfred State Wins on Senior Night

The Pioneer Men's Soccer team won tonight's match against Pitt.- Bradford 5-0.

Before tonight's match the Alfred State Athletic Department and Men's Soccer Program honored four seniors:

Su Reh (Buffalo, N.Y. / McKinley High School)

Federico Caceres (Wappinger Falls, N.Y. / Roy C. Ketcham)

Hunter Hollock (Tonawanda, N.Y. / Tonawanda High School)

Kasey Gilbert (Dansville, N.Y. / Lima Christian Central School)

The Pioneers offensive prowess showed again today as they tallied 32 shots, 15 of them were on goal. Nuri Sarbudak (Pittsford, N.Y. / Pittsford Mendon High School) had four shots on goal, knocking three in for a hat-trick. Sarbudak's first two goals came 50 seconds apart. His knocked in his first in the 23 minute, and his next in the 24 minute to put the Pioneers up 2-0. Josh Price (Greece, N.Y. / Greece Arcadia High School) had a goal of his own in the 27 minute. Juan Ruiz (Port Chester, N.Y. / Port Chester High School) followed with a goal in the 42, right before halftime. 

Sarbudak rounded out his day and the Pioneer scoring with his last goal, in the 66 minute. 

The Pioneers are back in action on October 22, as they travel to LaRoche for a conference match. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
