Pioneers Got The Win As Jamison Eclipsed The 1000 Point Milestone

Alfred, NY- Alfred State men's basketball took down conference foe Mt. Aloysius 95-82. Paris Jamison scored his 1000^th point as the Pioneers move to 6-7 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.

Three Pios scored in double figures, with Jamison leading the way scoring 38 points and grabbing six rebounds. Cody Schneider added 17 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, while Michael Miller scored 12 points.

Miller hit back-to-back deep threes to open the game for the Pios, then Jamison added a layup before Dylan Perry knocked down a three of his own for the 11-3 lead. A few possessions later Jamison hit a three then followed with a layup to extend the Pioneers lead to double figures. The Mounties would go to make a rally at the end of the half to cut the lead down to 38-31.

Jamison and Schneider opened the half with back-to-back layups. A few possessions later, Schneider hit two jumpers to put the Pios up 48-36. Those buckets started a 13-2 Pioneers run to make it a 61-39 game. The Mounties would go on a late run to close the gap but it was not enough to and Alfred State secured the win.
