BEHREND WOMEN EARN WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TITLE; NOLA TAKES INDIVIDUAL HONORS

With 22 team points, the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team claimed the 2023 AMCC cross country title on Saturday morning at Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY.

The Lions earned their 13th overall, and fifth consecutive, conference championship as junior Olivia Nola edged out the individual title with a 23:10.76 finish. Teammate Savanna Carr finished a second behind her, crossing the finish line in 23:11.9. Hilbert College senior Maddie Fusco recorded a third place finish with a time of 23:42.61. Completing the top five was Behrend's Lindsey Hartle (24:33.1) and Alfred State College's Oli Kraynik (24:45.67). Alfred State senior Isabelle Popoff came in sixth place with a 25:04.79, as Behrend once again took the next two spots with Bethany Litwiler in seventh with a 25:17.5 finish and Ivy Laffan crossing the finish line in 25:53.84. Runners from Wells College and Carlow University rounded out the top ten, as Express junior Theresa Miller finished ninth with a 26:33.26 and Celtic sophomore Laci Schwirian's 26:38.26 put her tenth. 

Alfred State finished in second place in the team scoring with 44, while Hilbert took third with 65 points. Wells completed the team scoring by coming in fourth place with 79 points.
