WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS READY FOR CHAMPIONSHIP

AMCC cross country teams will head to Alfred, NY this weekend for the 2021 AMCC Women's Cross Country Championship. Defending champion Penn State Behrend will be looking for their 11th conference title as they single-handedly hold the top-10 6K times of the season.

Behrend freshman Olivia Nola has had a standout freshman campaign, as she holds three of the top four times this season. Nola's best outing came at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on October 16, when she finished the 6K race in 24:15.2, the fastest time among women in the AMCC this fall. Junior Izzy Spires also has two of the conference's top 10 times this fall, including the third-fastest time in the conference - a 25:48.9 finish at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. Other members of the Lions team with top-10 times include Jessie JohnsonJulia Fasiczka, and Emily Ferrans.

Medaille College junior Erin Hardick holds two times ranked in the top-15, including a 27:10.0 finish at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invite, good for 12th in the AMCC.

The AMCC Championship will take place on Saturday, October 30 at Alfred State University. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women to follow at 12:15 p.m.
