PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius OH Machala Gibbons led the Mounties to a 3-0 week, including 2-0 to open conference play. Gibbons tallied a team high in kills against Lancaster Bible with 23. She also registered 25 digs against Pitt-Bradford, including her 1,000th career dig in the second set. For the week, she averaged 4.08 kills per set, 4.58 digs per set, four service aces, and swung at a .293 clip, while averaging 4.4 points per set. Gibbons continues to lead the AMCC in kills and kills per set.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend MH Alex Parra led the Lions to a pair of AMCC victories on Saturday, as she tallied a career-high 15 kills and added five blocks in a 3-1 win over Altoona, and then hit .500 with nine kills on 16 attempts in a 3-0 decision over Franciscan...Franciscan OH Renee Antonelli averaged 3.00 kills per set for the week, including 18 kills in the AMCC quad match on Saturday, she also picked up 35 digs for the week and added two blocks...Medaille MB Lindsay Howell made a tremendous effort this weekend against two tough conference match ups, as her totals for the weekend include 19 kills, (averaging 3.17 kills per set) and five blocks, while also adding one service ace against PS-Altoona...Pitt-Greensburg OH Mackenzie Schropp started and played every set for the Bobcats in their two victories this past week over Alfred State and D'Youville, as she totaled 19 kills in the two matches and hit an outstanding .326, while also chipping in defensively with 21 digs, which included tying a season-high 17 against the Spartans...PS-Altoona OH Jenna Bauer continued her strong freshman season with three solid matches this past week for the Lady Lions, as she posted 32 digs (4.57 digs per set), 24 kills (3.43 kills per set), and two total blocks (0.29 blocks per set), picking up a total of 33.0 points (3.3 points per set)...Alfred State MH Isabelle Slocum had a big day as a middle hitter in Alfred State's tri-match on Saturday, connecting on seven kills on eight swings (.875 percentage) in a loss to Pitt Greensburg, then in a non-conference victory vs. D'Youville she led the team with 13 kills (.500 hitting percentage)...La Roche S Bailey McDonald had a great all around performance this past week for the Redhawks, as she averaged 5.67 assists per set, 2.83 digs per set, picked up eight kills and added a solo block...Hilbert S Ashley Page played a great all-around game in her conference-weekend debut, notching three kills, 20 assists and 12 digs in two matches, while also adding two aces and a block to round out the weekend.
