DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona L Anna Batrus led the Lions in digs during a 3-0 week of play, including two AMCC wins that clinched the conference regular season title for Penn State Altoona. In Tuesday night's 3-1 win at AMCC foe La Roche, she finished with 27 digs. On Saturday, in a 3-0 win over AMCC opponent Wells, she posted 13 digs. Later that day, in a 3-2 victory over non-conference opponent Alfred, she tallied a career-best 32 digs. On the week, Batrus recorded 72 digs for an average of 6.0 digs per set.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State S Nayomie Ferrer Santiago tallied 97 assists, 29 digs, nine aces, and five kills on the week, as she opened the week with 28 assists and seven digs, following that up with a 40 assist 13 digs double double, and ending the week with 29 assists, nine digs, and six aces game, where she surpassed the 2000 career assist mark...PS-Behrend OH Maura Benim averaged 3.56 digs per set in a 3-0 week for the Lions, as she registered 14 digs, five kills and four aces in the win over La Roche on Saturday, while also adding 12 kills, six aces and four assists in the week...Carlow S Meghan Alexander covered well behind the Celtic blockers all week, helping Carlow go 2-0 and leading the team with 27 digs, she put up 44 assists on the offensive side of the ball as well...Hilbert L Natalie Ruhlmann had a strong defensive showing this week for the Hawks, notching 29 digs, and three aces, as she became the Hawks Single Season Leader in digs and digs per set this week.
