DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona DS Anna Batrus led the Lions in digs during a 2-0 week of AMCC play that consisted of a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Carlow and Pitt-Bradford. Against Carlow at home on Tuesday night, the junior totaled 17 digs. She finished with 16 at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. On the week, Batrus totaled 33 digs and averaged 5.5 digs per set.

 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche DS Mackenzie Kerkan had another strong week as she helped the Redhawks go 2-0, picking up 37 digs to average 5.29 per set, along with 35 receptions with just one error and adding 12 assists and two service aces to her weekly total...PS-Behrend L Sara Nobach led the team with 20 digs while adding four assists in a 3-0 win over Carlow on Saturday...Alfred State OH Racquel Gerstenberger tallied 32 digs, 36 kills, and six aces on the week, as she notched a 17 kill 16 digs double-double with four aces against Wells, then in the doubleheader against Pitt-Greensburg, she tallied 16 digs and 19 kills...Mount Aloysius DS Kadence Della Valle had a game-high 19 digs in the Mounties' loss to Wells in the AMCC Game of the Week on Saturday, she also had 43 serve receptions...Pitt-Bradford OH/MH Summer Anderson had a big week at the net as the Panthers went 1-1 in AMCC play, as she totaled 11 blocks over eight sets, including four solo efforts, while also adding 12 kills and eight digs...Hilbert S Jessee Jonathan was everywhere defensively for the Hawks, racking up 47 digs in two matches, while also adding 66 assists, 12 kills, a block and five aces.
