DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche DS Mackenzie Kerkan had another strong week defensively, with 50 digs in two matches. She averaged 5.2 digs per set in a 3-2 win against Carlow, then averaged 8.00 digs per set against Alfred State. Kerkan also added nine assists, one kill and a service ace to her weekly total.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Carlow OH Rebecca Hess recorded a double-double in kills and digs against PSU Fayette, as she had 40 kills, 38 digs and 10 blocks on the week...Pitt-Bradford DS Kayla Maslowski had a historic week, as she was able to collect her 1,000th career dig in the first set of the Panther's loss to Alfred, becoming the fifth Panther to reach the milestone since 2004, as she totaled 37 digs over two matches, averaging 6.17 digs per set for the week...Alfred State OH Alayna Tomlinson had a great week totaling 27 digs and 22 kills, as she notched a double-double with 14 digs and 14 kills in the first game against Behrend, then followed that with a 13 dig, eight kill performance against La Roche...PS-Altoona S/DS Abby Brinker had a match-high 16 digs in Penn State Altoona's 3-0 home win over AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon, averaging 5.33 digs per set...Hilbert L Natalie Ruhlmann continued to have a strong defensive showing for the Hawks, adding 28 digs, and two aces...Mount Aloysius OH Molly Richards had a great week as the Mounties turned in two conference victories, as she had 17 kills on offense to go with 11 digs and 21 serve receptions on defense, with only two receiving errors in three sets against Pitt-Greensburg, she then topped the defens on Saturday with 26 digs and seven receptions in a three-set win against Pitt-Bradford.
